The Town of Thomaston is seeking applicants for the position of Town Clerk. This is a full-time position with benefits.
The position requires highly responsible administrative work in organizing, preserving and maintaining all public records and activities of the organization.
Oversees and complies with all Federal, State and Local regulations, specifically Title 30A – M.R.S.A. § 2526, 22 MRS § 2702 and 21A MRS § 505 and others, including, but not limited to, managing the Town voter registration, Census, all Federal, State and local elections, all vital records and reports, as well as the Freedom of Access Officer. Should be a certified Town Clerk or capable of being certified.
Candidate must have a working knowledge of Laws and Regulations pertaining to Elections, Public Records, open meeting and Conflict of Interest Laws.
Three years of Municipal or Public sector education and/or experience required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
